Taking some time to learn how to properly adjust this upright bike to your body will make your workouts more pleasant and a safer experience too. Riding the bike when it is incorrectly adjusted can result in discomfort and increase your risk of injury.
Seat Position
The seat can be adjusted forward or backward to the position that is the most comfortable. To adjust the seat, turn to loosen the quick release knob, slide the seat to the the desired position and retighten the knob.
The bike seat can also be adjusted higher or lower to the position that is the most comfortable. To adjust the seat, loosen the turning knob located on the bike frame below the seat and pull the pin. Raise or lower the seat to the the desired position and then reinsert the pin. Ensure that the pin is screwed securely into one of the pre-existing height holes located on the seat frame.
Pedal Straps
To adjust the pedal straps, first pull the ends of the straps off of the tabs on the pedals. Adjust the
straps to the desired position, and then press the ends of the straps onto the tabs.
Once you have established a proper riding position, take a few minutes to ride the bike and determine that your position is comfortable. Start pedaling at a slow pace with your toes and knees pointed directly forward. Hold the handlebar lightly and in a position that allows your shoulders and upper body to relax. Pedal easily, at a low resistance until you feel confident that you could ride in that position for the duration of your workout.
